Ziele:

Based on the introductory course on IT management, the students will work in groups on seminal papers and develop their own cases. The course outline of the first part is defined along the key ITIL processes. The second part of the course is concentrated on future trends in IT management (managing data centers, IT controlling and IT governance). During the sessions, the students will get help to prepare their own research.

Inhalte:

Learning outcomes

  • Students will be able to do research in advanced topics for the management of complex IT infrastructure. 
  • Students will learn about management decisions on how to run a data center
  • Students will explore options to develop a system of indicators for IT controlling
  • Students will present their research findings and write a research-based essay
  • Students will work as reviewers for the peers and learn how to review research papers
